Enterprise NX-01 Mod
I started this mod as a personal mod that I had no intention of releasing, but my friend kept telling me I should release it. So here it is.
I wanted the ship to be as close to the show as possible while still making so you could play through the game.
It replaces The Krestel, it comes with five stock crew members (Three Humans, one Engi, and one Zolton).
It supports the cloak and drone upgrades.
It starts with the teleporter and three augmentations, that I feel the show Enterprise would have had if it were to be straight ported to FTL (long ranged scanners, automated re-loader, and titanium system casing). No I do not think those make it more powerful to start with, they only add a little resistance.

Installation:
I recommend using Grognaks Mod Manger which you can get here:

The mod is tested and working using that. If you wish to use another installer do so at your own risk. If you wish to install manually you will need to either already know how to do so or find a tutorial and you will do so at your own risk.

Nice start, i like the graphic of the ship.
About the ship itself, i dont like rooms so big, u can have serious problems with fire if it spreads to those rooms.
If the mod is for the NX-01, it should have no be allowed to have cloak, and the titanium casing augmentation is out of question. starfleet ships never had a better hull plating than other ships, only until the arrive of the Enterprise-E and the anti-borg plating to defend against the Borg, the Starfleet began to have an slighty advantaje over other factions in this matter. But the NX-01.. lol, that ship is tooo old, and it is just a regular frigate-size ship with no advantajes at all.
And even if the Enterprise was always more oriented to exploration, i dont think the NX-01 had great sensor systems at all xD. As i said, it is an old ship, and u will need to wait until the Enterprise-D, to think about any augmentation in the scanners part.
Same for the automated reloader.. that makes no sense at all in the NX-01. You should just make the ship faithful to the show, that means leave the ship as it is, only with the long ranged scanners augmentation if you want, but without cloaking and of course artillery beam (this will make no sense as well). Now, the next step should be to make custom weapons, at that time, the Enterprise as far as i remember only had really basic torpedo launchers and weak pulse phasers arrays.
The concept is great, the rooms as i said are a little big, but the layout is fine, more than that, i cant say anything more since there are no more things to talk about. If u make custom weapons, that will be another story.

The NX-01 doesnt have shields...
Why do people always make that ship instead of Enterprise A or D or E... you know the cool ones. From a series that didnt feel the need to put its underaged heroes halfnaked into the decontamination booth for an hour to get anyone to watch the awful dialogs they made.
I found this series to be the straight up worst they ever made. So dont get why there are like 3-4 mods here featuring that ship instead of galaxy or sovereign class.

The NX01, is from Enterprise series, not TOS... i mean, the nx01 is even prior to the TOS era lol.
And yes, i forgot about it, Metzelmax is right, the NX01 didnt even have shields lol, they were still in development..
Thats one of the reasons i always discard old designs, even if sometimes they are some how better home looking (specially if you use a better ship graphic, like the one i posted below), u will be very limited and u will need to make a really weak ship if you are following the basics of the show design in first place.
Or you could make just a starfleet mod, and then u cun put there all the models u want, including the nx-01...
About the series, of course the Enterprises tv series are the worst they made, but still, it wasnt a bad star trek show, in fact it was great past the first season, it had great episodes, but in the end it was really weak compared with any star trek show ever made (specially TNG or TOS). Tha plus a forced end of season 4 and the show itself, made a bad conclusion of it, not a bad tv show, but of course the worst start trek tv show ever made.
Still, and this is one of the things i love from Star Trek shows, they ended it with a semi-decent final, and they ended it, even if the show was just cancelled.

Lol, you wrong. The Best Series are TNG and TOS. One thing is that u like more DS9, another different thing is the facts. Actually, DS9 is not one of my favourites, it will be almost the last star trek show i liked it (too many god references and stupid episodes around that is out of my taste of a good science fiction show, but it had great episodes as well, but mostly the action ones, the other ones... pff).
The Next Generation was, and probably will be one of the best (if not the best) science fictions shows ever made. Anyways, if u think im wrong, u just need to google a bit..

TOS is great, but only because it is the original tv show, but it lacks on episode and character development, on the contrary of TNG.

Don't even get us started on the movies. I had an hour-long argument with a friend last weekend at a bar about if Voyage Home has a better chance of being in the top 3 or the bottom 3 (He wrongly puts it near the bottom of the pile). Scared the crap out of the Normals that were sitting at the table with us.
As to the mod, you should consider reworking those room textures to fit the rooms they're in (The medbay and cockpit looks HUGE and many of the other rooms are stretched weird, like my parents' TV. Seriously, mom? You have it set to stretch them out AND put black bars around them? Give me the remote. Sorry, where was I? Oh yes). And as you have non-standard room sizes, I will suggest to you my Low O2 Icons mod. Feel free to incorporate it into your mod or link to it in the first post. Makes overlarge rooms look a lot better when they have no O2, and we all know the most important thing when you have no oxygen is the room looking nice and tidy.
I agree that the ship has too much awesome. I'd either drop all 3 augments or keep LRS and drop the shield to keep thematic. Don't know if that'd balance it out, but that's where playtesting comes in

Yup, watch out..


Voyage Home is and will be always one of my favourites, and of course i would put it on the top 3. Not because of the great special effects, but because of that mix of humor / enjoyable script / nice effects and a good "save the whales" message
