Sai Plays FTL - IN SPAAAAACE!

I figured it was time to create and submit my own questionable quality FTL Let's Play to grace the market, but it's a game I've grown to love despite so little playtime so far. I suppose this is more than just hopeful entertainment for viewers, but also a thank-you to the dev team for making such a wonderful experience. I hope my time spent can earn FTL even a single extra purchase, because its a purchase damn well deserved!

I'm coming into FTL as a relative newbie. I've played 18 games so far, and while I've made it to the end in perhaps half (mostly on easy), I've yet to beat the endboss. I'm determined to turn that trend around, this time on camera while experiencing all the horrors FTL has to throw at me. I love this game, hopefully you can take some pleasure from my wacky antics in space!

All videos are recorded in 720p, admittedly on a toaster mic. I'll post as fresh updates come, but only as they come. Thanks to anyone who watches, I hope you enjoy it!

Good job explaining FTL basics. Also, not sure why you say toaster mic, the quality was ok. Only problem was the slight delay of audio.

I suppose since your objective was to showcase much of FTL you went for those early stores, but generally it's better to jump around them before visiting as you'd have more scrap to spend that way. Unless repairs were badly needed ofc.

Another bit of advice. Look closely how much fuel they offer when surrendering. Count the scrap value needed to buy that fuel. It's usually valuable and i'd accept more than 4-5 fuel anytime unless i had enough already. Or wanted retribution. Usually retribution.

Are you going to do mod playthroughs? Or are you going to practice a bit with vanilla before moving towards mods?

UltraMantis: Well thank you. On the topic of quality, the audio is being very finicky and I have to edit a lot of noise out in post to get it presentable. Will have a new mic/computer soon enough to hopefully fix the general audio issues.

I was indeed attempting to showcase in this episode, rather than play to a strategy, but it ended up going end-over-end into madness anyway with me not thinking straight about the Roguelike save mechanic... You're very right about the fuel, I was feeling a little bloodthirsty but it's a good point to make for the less experienced (myself included!) This is as much a learning process for me as anyone else.

nataryeahbuddy: I'm totally up for some mods, but I'd like to plough through vanilla and do what I can with it first.
