Um, that's the same link, to data.dat. :lol:

Attaching on the forum works for me. Profiles are tiny (4KB).
But they need to be zipped (or renamed to zip if lazy).

Hey folks, I am getting the same error as above, only the value is '20' instead of '43'.

I also got the achievement error and it said achievement 52. If you need me to attach my profile I can.

I really hope you bet this up and running. MY GAME JUST DELETED ALL THE TYPE C SHIPS I UNLOCKED FOR NO REASON!!!!

The errors only tell me it's confused and reading the wrong places in the file.

When that happens, I need people to provide the profiles and saved games, so I can teach the editor to read from the correct locations.

Thanks to a profile submitted by draeath, I found what might be affecting some of you...

If you got victory achievements for the Engi or Fed ships (and possibly Lanius?), that will cause an error.
Victory achievements are an extra byte longer than normal achievements.
I had a list of them by name to know when to read that extra byte, and the list omitted a couple ships. :?

I'll put out another release soon to address that.


:shock: I just got word this project's gonna be on the front page of SourceForge next week!

Help! I just got the new version of FTL Editor and I can open it just fine. But when I load my Continue.SAV I can only see the dump menu. I can't go into any other tabs. When I looked in the CMD I saw "WARN FTLFrame - This saved game file contains mystery bytes the developers hadn't anticipated! Location 4111-469" I'm not sure what this means. I think it's about the game updating... Again... The game says it's Version 1.5.10 and the system requirements say you need 1.5.4. If anyone could help that would be nice.

FTL:Advanced Edition (1.5.4+) added lots of new information to saved games.
I haven't figured out what it all means yet. Until then, the only tab that's safe is "dump".
Profiles can be fully edited, but saved games are read-only for now.

Anyone with FTL 1.03.3 or earlier should still be able to edit every aspect of those saved games.

God dammit, I really am a moron. I need to learn to pay more attention. As for attaching, it's still not working. Perhaps new accounts have limits imposed?

I can't seem to get this editor to work either... need my ae prof file as well?
