Kicking off with ion dodging, more planned later. =)

This video starts with some basic ion dodges, then some more advanced ones -- including two or three on Balance Mod that I can almost guarantee you haven't seen before.

I'm demonstrating this using a mod called Combat Sims.

Zoltan ion shielding

This covers 3 ways to protect shields using Zoltan crew. Also a little puzzle at the end!

Zoltan Shield piercing (part 1)

This video shows how beams can "pierce" Zoltan Shields, and how to use shield-breaking weapons to extend that trick into the late-game.

This video explains exactly how shield drones work, and then demonstrates some early-game tactics such as ion dodging.

Even watching this back, I already see another optimisation!
