Heya, I've reached sector 8 yesterday with teh Kruos and the oxygen levels never exceded 20%, in fact they never went above 16% at any point during the gameplay but the archievment "Loss of cabin pressure" was enver awarded... Not sure if any of you had a similar problem but if you did please report it.

I unlocked it in beta testing with no problems. Other than misreading it and having O2 levels at 0% for the vast majority of the run. My poor non-lanius crew just kept dying and coming back via the clone bay. When I realized I was just subjecting them to a terrible, living Hell I went back and read the achievement. Then everybody was happier :D

But yeah, I got the achievement right when I got to the 8th sector. IIRC I only had the shield room and doors room with O2 in them, through the whole game.

I'm having the same problem unlocking the achievement. It may have worked in beta but it's no longer consistently working now. A lot of people on the FTL Wikia page are also reporting this bug.

I have a theory... I suspect that all the people who are failing to get the achievement are using mods, specifically one that adds to the starting event. An example mod of this would be Beginning Scrap Advantage. My theory continues to suspect that the achievement starts checking your oxygen levels on the first event that is loaded after the start event. Without mods, this would occur after your first jump, like the achievement claims. If you have a mod like the one mentioned above, then this would occur before your first jump, and before you even have a chance to empty your ship of oxygen, because the mod has interfered by adding extra events before your first jump.

edit: Appears my theory is not the culprit, and is probably irrelevant.

The problem with this achievement pops up if you have saved and quit at any point during the run. Loading a previous game will toggle the flag that fails the achievement mistakenly. This bug will be fixed in a future update.

That's a pretty baaad bug (I never play for two hours straight). I'll bench this one for later, then.

Thanks for letting us know!

Ok, I strangely have to ask....was the failure because oxygen level defaults to 100% when the game is created and doesn't reduce to the 'real' level until later?

@Jai: No. During a normal game, there's a flag that gets triggered when oxygen drops below 20%. When loading a game, that flag is mistakenly automatically triggered instead of loading the correct value.

Damn. Wish I'd looked for this bug about 5 games ago. I was beginning to go crazy. I thought maybe just maybe there was a bug, but I figured it was safer to blame my own incompetent play than to blame a bug. :)

Keep up the great work, Subset!
