Breach and automated drones

In my last run, i used the Basilisk and met a drone ship. My teleport wasn't upgraded and i sent a boarding drone. The drone ship was a design without doors, and i was lucky, that i hit the weaponsystem directly. My drone killed their weaponsystem, and i was waiting, that the system repairs itself, but it doesn't. I let the battle some minutes running, but no change. I think, the breach was the reason, so i FTL away, unable to kill the drone. So my question: was it a bug, or a feature (maybe, the drone ships use nanites and they suck out of the breach :mrgreen: )?

The auto repair is very slow. It's possible that you just didn't wait long enough. The breach and the automated drone should not have made a difference. I'll double check the code to see if there's a quirk I'm unaware of though.

I've waited several minutes. i know, it takes some time to repair. My conclusion: Breach overrides the repair behaviour. Breach a has higher repair priority, but the drone can't repair the breach, so the drone stuck. But it's ok for the moment, the idea of the sucked nanites amused me ;)

I have double checked the code and you are correct, a breach will not allow the auto-repair :)

I'm pretty comfortable with that as well. Seems reasonable to me to be a feature.
