Systems report damaged/unmanned even when fully repaired

Sometimes systems will report that they are damaged and unmanned even though they've been fully repaired. It seems to happen most often with the Osprey and the Type B variant, but I have not been able to tack down what events cause this to happen. I've played a game where I reached the end and all of my major systems were reporting this.

Hi eltiare, welcome to the forum.

Could it be that systems are disabled? Ion weapons will disable systems for a short time. They cannot be manned or used while in this state. They blink blue and there's a timer beneath the system panel showing you the duration.

If not then it's a very strange bug.

I'm not sure what you mean by "reporting" it. Can you take a screenshot next time it happens?

I had it happen again today. Image

It's not ion damage. The weird thing is that at others times if the systems are on fire, being attacked, or hit by an enemy weapon it does not decrease the power gauge on the system. If on fire, the gauge will have the fire icon but the system will never get damaged. Doesn't even show the progress indicator of damage.

Actually... I think this may be a problem with a mod that I installed to get more weapons. It seems this happens when I use the Panacea weapon on the cruiser.

Well that at least explains it somewhat. This is the MOD in question - Weaponanza!. buzzyrecky mentioned it can cause problems with the Fed cruiser.

And how brilliant that i failed to notice a non-standard weapon in the screenshot. :roll: I'll post the bug in the MOD thread.

EDIT - It's a known problem with the Panacea. No fix for this yet.

I know this is an old thread, but it is the only one I could find. I have a modded AE game with the Captain's edition mod and Infinite addon. I have the exact same problem, only with the weapon system. It seems to have been caused by a boarder attacking the weapons but getting interrupted
