More Mac Modding Problems

So, Having read a couple of forums about mac modding, there are a few parts that aren't answer in them and leave me to question it. This is my basic knowledge of modding so far. I go to app in steam, i see the folder for FTL, all that is in it is the programs, FTL.app, but it doesn't have the app. People in the forums say to locate the src or something like that. I downloaded something mentioned in the forums, it was easygui, the mod loader and Python. what do i do now?
