Code: Select all

        <weaponList count="4" missiles="99">
                <weapon name="laser_burst_5"/>
                <weapon name="beam_bio/>
                <weapon name="missiles_2/>
                <weapon name="ion_1/>
        </weaponList>
Weapon names. after laser_burst_5, they are all missing the ending "

I'm having the assertion error again... I'm running r7 or whatever the newest version is. I only downloaded it the other
It's the exact same error:

I've looked through the entire thread but no-one has actually said "Here's the problem; here's how to fix it", mostly come out with a load of solutions that make perfect sense if you already know what they're doing. I ran the entire function through a command prompt; the unpack worked fine but now it won't pack, meaning I can't play with my beautiful rapid-fire laser :'( help please :)

While I don't know how to fix the assert error, you could try using GMM to load mods instead.

I've got GMM for my pre-built downloaded mods but I don't really know exactly how to turn my added bits into a modpack. I'll see if I can find out.

When I try to download this file, my computer believes it's infected with a Trojan virus...

Any thoughts? I'd really like to mod my own weapons, but I need a way to unpack the .dat files.

Cheers,

It's safe, there's no virus. As a sidenote, GMM uses ftldat.

Technically GMM uses code from ftldat.

The virus false-positive comes from the tool used to bake that code into an exe.
That tool was PyInstaller, for which this is a known issue.
