Screen Fitting

I just bought the game, and was really exited to play. I opened it up, and to my dismay, it was not fitting the screen. I then tried all other resolution type provided, but to no avail. I changed the resolution of the screen itself, and still no progress. I came here and could not find a topic on my individual case, so I made this one in hopes that someone has had the same problem, and fixed it. Please ask question, and I will generously answer them in hopes of a solution.
your pal,

What resolutions? FTL only runs in 1280×720
Is the problem fullscreen, windowed or both?
Post your computer specs please:
RAM
Display adapter
CPU
OS (Windows series, Mac, Linux)

Is 1280x720 the minimum? Someone said you could play in less but the screen looked squished.
EDIT: I've never actually got a smaller screen to play it at all.

"Fullscreen - Stretch" will 'squish' the game to fit into lower resolutions, but that's assuming you support OpenGL 2.0 (which is another system requirement). Can you check your stdout.txt for any output that would help diagnose what version of OpenGL you are supporting?
Because of the requirement to support the lower resolution, we still have maintained that 1280x720 is the official minimum resolution to be safe. I'm very sorry about this. If you purchased the game from our website I'd be happy to offer you a refund.
