I was just wondering if there was any way to change the name of your crew members once you have started the game. It doesn't matter if it is an included game mechanic, I just want to be able to change the names of my crew. I have tried notepad and MS office. Are there any other possible ways?

There is no way to rename your crew once the game has started. Why should there be? When you recruit someone in real life, do you get to rename them?

What would be cool is a way to give ranks to team members (Captain, Ensign, etc.) and/or nicknames.

I would like to keep track of my crew and personalize them so they are easier to manage, and since when are video games real life?

Lets' pray this one get included. Also, small icons (green and gold) on the crew roster to represent earned skills would be a handy and neat addition. Let's pray.

Another reason to have the ability to rename crew is to follow a theme that you start with.
