This game looks pretty awesome, but I didnt find out about it until recently, which was after KickStarter finished, has anyone to spare for little old me?
If they desire, I could even throw a bit of money their way for the trouble.

Just noticed this game from kickstarter and was really interested into the game mechanics and system. I would like to have a try-out before buying this game when it launches. I wonder if there's any more willing people kind enough to give away a beta key to me?

Beta keys transfer into retail version (as in we don't get any new keys on release). Pretty sure everyone wants to keep theirs.

I suggest you look through the twitch streams ( there's a sticky thread on this forum) or look at youtube vids.

The developers have already announced that there will be a demo, so your try-before-you-buy option will be available.
