First impressions, feedback

First, having played it for eight hours: it definitely has the roguelike-nature. Well done.

Second, is there any way other than drones/dodge to stop missiles or harden your ship against missile damage? I always dread missile enemies because they're guaranteed hull damage.

Third, I think the difficulty could be a little more constrained in the first stage. I've died twice in the first few systems I visited due to enemies I frankly stood no chance against.

By the way, will there be new content added post-release or is it just maintenance?

Oh: and the forum formatting does not differentiate between pinned threads and normal threads very well, making it hard to find the border for "new threads". Might be helpful to make pinned threads stand out a little, for instance give them a slightly different background color.

The devs mentioned that they will support the game after the realease. Not straight away as they want to have some rest after months of making the game :)

It's really fun so far! I've logged three hours and died at least a dozen times lol but I'm having a blast. It can be tough starting out but that's the nature of rogue titles so I don't mind. I did find it funny how I got annihilated during my first battle on easy though, and this was after I made pretty good progress on a couple normal runs.

One thing I'd really like to see though is something like an escape pod so there's a chance of having consistent characters. Maybe don't track their experience for the sake of balance but I think it'd be really awesome to have a character with history stats, e.g. how many ships they've been on, jumps they've survived, number of systems they've been to etc. etc.

My god this game is frustrating! Also it's amazing in all the good ways. Not too simple, wonderfully complex but not to the point of breaking but quick enough that restarting isn't a game killer.

I would like a save option though. I mean like for easy. Have Normal mode keep the 1 life system (it's great and it makes the game a real challenge). But if you're playing easy, give the option to save without quitting for new players.
The other option might be to have a "no time limit" option. Just to play around with.

Either way though it's an A+ game. Well done!!
