Black Screen on Minimize?

I am running a Radeon 6900 series card, and I just recently updated to the latest Catalyst drivers (13.12 according to the control center) under windows 7.
Now, whenever I minimize FTL and then restore it, the window is all black. The game appears to still be running - sounds can be heard when I mouse over invisible objects - but there are no graphics.
This clearly started when I updated my drivers.
Any suggestions?
