Fullscreen = stuck on loading screen

I'm running windows 8 and fullscreen mode doesn't work at all. It gets stuck on loading forever.
I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL then it restart on windowed...
No fullscreen mode works

Does it work in windowed? Delete settings.ini from the FTL installation folder to check.

I have the same problem and it does work in windowed but not fullscreen.

I've had the same problem. When set to fullscreen, all I get is a black screen. I can hear the sounds of my cursor passing over the menu options when I move the mouse around, but the graphics don't load at all. Windowed mode works fine. This has only happened since the update.

Have you tried both Fullscreen Native as well as Fullscreen Stretch? Same result with both?
