Zoltan ship did not unlock (iPad)

The Zoltan ship did not unlock after I completed the mission on the Zoltan homeworld. I won't include any spoilers but needless to say I did get the bonus from completing the mission and I believe the text after completing the mission said something to the effect that I did unlock the ship. However, after my game ended the ship is not unlocked in my list. Can you only unlock 1 ship per game? Because during the same game I first unlocked the stealth ship on the Engi Homeworld. That ship did unlock correctly.
