Mind Control plus hacked teleport

I got to the rebel flagship before this issue became apparent. The rebel flagship hacked my teleport, so whenever I had friendlies on the other ship it would automatically teleport them back to my ship. This is probably the point of the hack, but the unintended side effect was that whenever I teleported my crew to their ship I then mind controlled one of their crew members. But then my teleport was hacked soon after, thereby teleporting both my crew and their hostile mind controlled crow member back to my ship. Now I have their crew member wreaking havok on my ship because he just goes through doors willy nilly, but he shouldn't have been teleported back to begin with.

Is this intended? He's guaranteed to die either way, but I'd rather him hurt the enemy rather than myself.

Yup, it's intended. You can even pull them back yourself with an unhacked teleporter.

There are strategies that even take this wrinkle into account :)

What then should stop me from teleporting a hostile enemy to my ship?? Do I send a teleport request to the person and he has to accept it?

The same Friend-Or-Foe system that allows the enemy ships to clone a bad guy who was on your ship when you jumped into the sector.

IE: Space magic and random game balance rules :D

Is the clone bay thing actually intended though? It feels like it's not. I was going to make a thread about it, but since y'all were talking about it

I asked in beta testing (which is why I always think about it) and got an amusing answer in the manner of how someone defending how warp drives work in Star Trek would talk. Followed by a smiley face. :D

So it appears that yes, it is intended but no, it makes no sense.
