No reward from fight

Hey I recently updated to the newest update for ftl on the Ipad. I was in the middle of a fight against a rebel ship on hard mode with advanced content. I defeated the ship but I got no sign or scrap reward. Bug? Or what?

Do you remember any of the text from the event? Any clue so I can narrow down which fight it was?

I saw this once as well. I'll keep an eye out, since I don't recall the text, but what I DID notice is that it was an extended battle that I was using to level crew and my ipad went to sleep several times during it. With luck, I'll run into another battle where I can check that.

I don't remember the text mainly due to the fact that I quit the battle in the middle to do something else
