Input Freezing on OSX

Hello
The game freezes its for about 30 seconds at random intervals. Happens about once every time I play. What happens is that the game won't accept any keyboard or mouse inputs, and continues running. last night I lost a game because of it. Very irritating.
interestingly it also freezes Google Chrome, so I suspect it might be Flash or some other shared resources.
Anyone else have this happen?
