Battlestar Galactica Mode

Good afternoon.

I've been really excited about FTL, and I love the direction that the development team is going with this.

However, I would personally love the establishment of a Battlestar Galactica style gamemode, with a larger ship, and a larger crew, making the game a bit closer to a traditional RTS.

Does anyone have thoughts?

Oh well.

Good night.

interesting thought - i personally always wanted a BG game like this (the xbox fighter game was pretty cool though)

possibly a user mod and/or a mission pack later down the track

I've milled around for ways to make a version of FTL with massive ships to work.

Huge ships with tons of rooms; moving people by the squadron; having power grids (like sim city, where it could get disconnected, cutting power to port weapon bays, etc).
All that stuff would be super cool and I think it's possible, for sure..... Just probable someone else will have to make that game, hah.

Modding smells absolutely delicious.

I cannot wait to see what FTL will morph into. :geek:

Good call dude. This could be implemented and still hold true to cannon.
