I Googled some time for this but there doesn't even seem to be a cheat. The only way I heard about was that you could edit the save-file, but shouldn't there be some properties for the ships what's required to unlock them that you can just reset?

I've went through the files and couldn't find anything but I thought I would check in-case I had missed something.

Which ships are locked or unlocked are saved in your profile. Look for the FTL Profile Editor if you want to edit locked/unlocked ships.

If the devs were really evil, they would add an Unlock Everything dlc.
