This sucks when it happens, Nebulas are amazing because you can explore more in that reign due to the rebel fleet advancing slower. Make Sector selection less random?

Man you're lucky, I absolutely detest uncharted nebula's, I always die there. They should add more stuff if you ask me, less uncharted nebula's

I used to hate them too... until I found out that they slow the rebel fleet down and give you more time to explore...
But plasma storms? I still hate those...
Let see can I turn off O2 and medbay to fight... I guess so as long as the fight doesn't last to long..

Unless I read the tooltip wrong I thought that the uncharted nebula sectors didn't actually slow down the rebel fleet. I'll have to check when I get home or can someone confirm? I think you have to be in the sector and mouse of a beacon in a nebula area.

I don't totally follow what you mean...
Are you saying, the sector as a whole doesn't slow down the rebels, but only flying through a actual nebula jump point?
If that is what you mean, then yes. The sector doesn't slow them down, flying your ship through individual nebula jump point does. But what is a sector but a whole lot of nebula jump points..

I think it was since the uncharted nebula is expected by the rebel fleet none of the nebula beacons within the sector slow down the rebel fleet.

uncharted nebula sectors do not slow down the rebel fleet. You would only go there if you are looking for some dangerous/opportunistic events more frequently. Having teleporter, cloaking, engines, scrap arm, or reinforced hull might help with some events that occur there.

I've been curious about this as well.
I despise nebula nodes. The risk never seems to be worth the reward.
A whole sector of them... that don't even have that added benefit of slowing down the rebel fleet? No, thanks.
So nebula sectors don't slow them at all? The tooltip led me to believe it just doesn't slow them down quite as much.

oh well that is lame! one little nebula slows down a whole fleet, but a sector worth of them doesn't phase them at all..
I got the impression that they would be slowed down slightly compared to a regular sector.. allowing for more exploring.
I think this should be changed.. they should be slowed down a little.. maybe enough for like 2 or 3 more jumps.. not massively.

I used to hate nebulas, till I realised they're the best place to find brain slugs.
