On the Engi mission, tracking down the two rebel ships that have the information, I manged to trigger two "end" quests where I had to hunt down the last rebel ship with the engi escort.

I believe I got it by triggering the rebel crews on the first two quests to ask for mercy, and then killing the crew with my boarding parties anyway. (Yes, I went evil this time around. I've got a vendetta against the rebel scum. So many many losses on my last stands and I've got enough mantis crew to justify my evilness)

Since they asked for mercy, I believe that triggered the first quest mission. Then killing the crew anyways reveals the mission through the crew logs. Both rebel ships from the first two missions (decoy and relay) asked for mercy and then the crew were killed so the logs were read. No ship loss.

If you kill the crew of both ships with boarding parties, the second part of the quest won't trigger.

Well, boarding crews did trigger it for me as of 6/23 with v0.12.6.7 (I think..., that's the version today and it didn't seem to update turning it on this morning. Meant to include the version number yesterday)

After killing the crew the boarding party goes through the ship logs to find the information. I guess as a fail safe against missing information. That's why I had to include that both ships were subdued with ship weapons and offered to surrender. Then that the boarding crew already aboard killed everyone anyways.

I was just making sure that they (A) Couldn't heal their crew, (B) shoot my ship while the invasion was underway.
