Smoke immunity not working

Hi, I was doing a run with the Rusting Hulks and on the 4th island i bought the Smoke Pellets and activated the "Ally Immunity" upgrade.
Going into the final battle, smoke tiles were still preventing all of my mechs to attack (luckily I still won, though). Since it was the last battle, I wasn't able to do any more testing with the same conditions.
Smoke pellets were equipped on the Pulse Mech, with Prospero as a pilot and his flying ability active.

By the way, I'm having a blast with this game!

Hi there, did you happen to capture a screenshot of this at all?

Meh, sorry, didn't think too much about it at the moment (and believed I had simply misread the ability, to be honest); then checked again online and considered reporting it.
If anything helps, I recall pretty much the rest of the equipment/skills from the run.

Did you misread the upgrade?

I believe it refers to not throwing smoke on adjacent allies, not that it makes all your units immune to smoke.

Apologies if I'm incorrect.

Yeah that's right. It's not actually a bug. The upgrade could maybe be named better though.

Yeah "No smoke on ally squares" is more straightforward, though less terse.
