I want a FULL save feature. If you don't want to use it then don't.

Those who don't want a save have the choice not to save either way the devs decide, why should MY choice be restricted?

A full save feature would encourage me to save before every challenge so I can go back and try again if things don't go well. This removes the tension and focus, making easier to give up instead of fighting to the end (which may not be as bitter as I would think).

because you didn't write the game and the people who did are under no obligation to give you what you demand.

I like that the devs havn't weighed in on this post , gives me hope that a save feature is not being considered.

On getsatisfaction they recognized the demand and basically said they are working on fixing bugs before adding new features. A save on exit function is a possibility. Save anytime is not.

just adding my vote for save on exit.

currently, i'm not playing the game as much because i'm not sure I will have time to finish the game. not a threat or only thing. Just if i need a "short game" to play real quick. I can't guarantee that FTL will be that. (sometimes it is, sometimes its not)

Actually, we didn't buy a completed game - we provided funding for development. And if the devs don't intend to listen to beta feedback, why have a beta? You can rest assured that once the game is public and getting reviews, those will be a lot harsher than any feedback that beta testers give.

And I still haven't heard any objective reason from you why you're so adamant that people with small amounts of time or a different playstyle to yours shouldn't be able to enjoy the game.

Because Beta's are for ironing out bugs not adding new features ;)

The developers are under no obligation to produce a game that accommodates as many people as possible. You know, there's nothing wrong with just making a game the way you want and how ever many people enjoy it, so be it.

If they're content that apparently quite a lot of people don't enjoy it... ;)

Ultimately, it is their decision, yes. However, their first entry in the gaming world should listen carefully to the beta feedback. And sorry, but no save on a game with a length of > 30 minutes is, for me a) a bug and b) gamebreaking.

I'm hardly able to play the game at the moment due to only having 10 minutes here and there and not being able to keep the computer turned on. Only chance I get to play is every other weekend when I'm back at my own home.
It's a cool game but this really is a game breaker for me, it's should be treated as a bug to be fixed not a minor feature that can wait.

If they don't add this in they're going to end up regretting it. This is almost the longest post of the forums and more than half of all the comments on GetSatisfaction are about this. If they don't end up with this it's going to end up being criticized for it in every review.
