[Suggestion] Set/Return to stations buttons

One of the little annoyances i find i regularly have while playing is making sure i send the right crew members to the right stations after fighting off a boarding party.

Two buttons - like the close and open doors - would solve this. One could set the current positions as default 'station' for that character, the other would send all crew members to their default stations.

A simple text next to unset characters on the left would call out new crew members who don't yet have a default location (or if you've not set it up), and if set characters fill a room with an unset character they can just push him out.

Also it seems pretty easy to add a fail condition if there is danger (like a hull breach) and have the override be a double-click. Of course, this gets into the realm of hidden rules and alternate sometimes annoying behaviour when it does the thing and you don't know why...

nah, if you're too lazy to make sure your people are in the right place, you deserve whatever happens because of this. This game is all about micromanagement, so adding something that removes this doesn't really make sense to the game.

Our official point of view so far has been to not include automation of anything concerning crew movement/positioning. Managing them is too core to the experience.

Hopefully when we add some way to control people using the keyboard you can be more efficient with maintaining their positions so it's less frustrating.
If you're having hull problems, I feel bad for you son. I've got 99 problems but a breach ain't one.

One of the things is that you want the same person to be on the same station every time, because that way you get them to be more proficient in this area. Since the members of a race all look the same, it's very hard to tell them apart and pick the right one to send there (after they ran around like wild chickens during a fight to fix all of the systems and hull breaches).
However, keyboard control would probably help there (so I could remember that the person associated with this specific key is supposed to man this specific station).

I use the list to the left for that. works great, especially now that you can mouse over and see who has training in what skill.

I believe a several new skins for races like different hairs, colors and etc. could solve this issue as well
