[Suggestion] Small delay on hotkeys in dialogue boxes

Post by Tom »

I personally fell that there should be an option for a small delay (around a second, maybe even less) before hotkeys become 'active' in dialogue boxes.
This will prevent people picking the wrong option when a dialogue box pops up during battle but will still allow people the ease of use of the numerical hotkeys and not having to click them each time.

I agree. Something needs to be done about this. Either a small delay before the hotkeys work or requiring a modifier (Ctrl, Alt)+The dialogue hotkey to be pressed to use the menus.
Note: I am not in the beta and base most of my perception of the game come from a massive number of YouTube playthroughs and reading of patch notes/changes.

You can disable hotkeys for those dialog boxes from the Options menu.

I know you can disable them, that's not the point, its so much easier to use hotkeys and they would only need a small delay to prevent any accidental clicks.

I want to be able to use hotkeys without having to worry about hitting the wrong thing
