I was one of the backers who recently got a key, and so far have spent a distressingly huge amount of time playing. I was just wondering, are there any plans to let you choose your weapons and crew a bit more at the start? Maybe as some kind of sandbox or challenge mode? I'd just love to set off with something REALLY beefy right from the start, and fight similarly tough enemies...it'd be nice to launch feeling like a god-king from the outset. It'd be cool if the points you earned could go towards making your next run more powerful immediately as well, some kind of persistency beyond just finding new ships; you could earn points on runs and cash them in to set off with better gear?
Thanks for the game, you're ruining my social life.
Are there any plans to have more customisation at the start?

I have read people talking about a 'continue playing' option after you beat the main game. Could this be similar to the sandbox mode you are after? As soon as I get the game I will try to answer this for you.

I have to say, I think it would be fun to be able to start with the boss, once it's been defeated. then just fly around mushing everything with triple missiles..... There is a continue playing button, not sure what it's planned for yet, as it's inactive.McChubs wrote:.it'd be nice to launch feeling like a god-king from the outset.

That's kinda what the ship unlocks are though aren't they? You'll have 18 different choices for a starting ship outfit eventually.
