I notice that 1.03.3 was fixed to give you the victory if both your ship and phase 3 of the flagship are blowing up at the same time. Great! That's how it should be!

Does that victory still count if all your crew are on the phase 3 flagship when you deal the killing blow?

Suggestion/request: I hope it doesn't count as a loss so long as any of your shots are still flying.

Suggestion/request: It also shouldn't count as a loss if your ship explodes but you still have a boarding party on the phase 3 flagship. Technically, they may be able to do enough system/hull damage on board to blow up the ship. Might be tricky to implement though if, e.g., the boarding party has destroyed everything it can destroy, nothing is being auto-repaired, and the phase 3 ship still has enough hull to survive. Perhaps then there would need to be some sort of countdown. E.g., the rebel flagship jumps within X minutes every time, so you need to be able to kill it quickly or it counts as a loss.

It's probably not worth the effort to implement these requests, but it would be awesome if you could scrape out a victory by the skin of your teeth.

The victory will still count if all your crew are on the flagship when it dies. I actually ran a quick test to check, it was an interesting question.

Just when I didn't think I could love this game any more, an actual FTL dev read my action suggestion and responded!
