Blank screen (With desktop in background)

I have noticed that this issue (Or similar to it) have been submitted in the past yet i have not seen any resolved (Unless in private conversations).

What happens right now is that i use steam on 2 PC's. 1 is a desktop and the other one is a laptop. On my desktop it works just fine and i can run the game to it's fullest and can play it normally while on my laptop all i see is the background behind the FTL window and after a very short period of time the music starts playing in the background while i cannot do anything in the game window. Because the game starts at a window mode by default the cursor will disappear once entering the window borders and re-appear once i get it out of it. When i try to run the game in fullscreen it will go all black and i will only hear music without the ability to do anything about it until i force shut down the game (With Alt + F4 for example).

I have updated the graphic drivers yesterday and all the other drivers are up to date as well.

Will be much appreciated if i can be guided for a solution.

I believe you posted on our GetSatisfaction as well? As I said there, a dxdiag dump would be helpful if you could email it or post it here.

Thanks a lot for the very fast reply by the way! You guys are just amazing. I remember back in the day i asked for a DRM free version of FTL due to me playing at work and not able to connect to steam... Got a game within 3 hours of my E-mail...

Can you try installing these up to date drivers? According to the dxdiag dump you emailed me, you're about 5 years out of date
