Non-fullscreen window cannot be adjusted to fit screen?

Non-fullscreen window cannot be adjusted to fit screen?
if I try to play windowed, about an eighth of the window is cut off on both sides because of my square-ish monitor. Is there a hope of letting us adjust the window similar to... just about anything?
