Shouldn't be too hard to do. Just copy-paste all the text that gets printed out whenever you visit a node to an external file, and highlight which choice was selected each time a decision is made by the player. Anyone who has ever played "Flotilla" might have an idea of how the exploits of the player are laid out at the end of each game in a journal of sorts.
Logging combat statistics though, that's going to be a bit more tricky. Do you record each blow-by-blow, or the overall outcome? "The Kestrel came in with 20 hull points and left with only 4 left."

The words "shouldn't be too hard to do" should rarely be uttered unless you are doing it yourself

text based would stimulate/help ppl in writing an After Action ReportJustin wrote:What if it was text based? Like a refined version of Flotilla's storytelling at the end, converting major events into text. "... While fighting a PIRATE CRUISER, JOHN was killed by ASPHYXIATION. A HEAVY LASER was found on the ship and blabla...."
Obviously no promises, just curious.
I am not a AAR writer myself but I really enjoy reading that stuff
