That and also I just love it how ftl balances it self... barely makes sense
You = your big bad cruisers can only have 6 slots of weapons and drones.
eg 4 weapons, 2 drones. 3 weapons, 3 drones. etc or less.
enemies? they commonly have maxed out 8 slots.
I found it funny how we do not have a 2 weapon 4 drone ship, I would expect a engi ship have that or something.

I had already set up a fifth weapon slot (there are four weapons) smack dab in the middle. Is there a marker or a tag I need to add to get it to work? And I'm thinking of starting it off with one or two MKII defense drones, or maybe titanium system casings.

Press the button to orient the direction it opens in until you get an x.

Um, what orient button are you referring to? I'm using superluminal, and orientations are a drop-down menu.
most people use the keys on your keyboard to do that, I can't remember of the top of my head, but doing it from the drop down menu gives the exact same result.
A set of information about the mod like name, description, author, forum thread URL, version etc...
SMM 1.4 introduced metadata handling, meaning you can add mod-appendix/metadata.xml to .ftl files and have it's contents be displayed to the user by the manager.
For examples, you can refer to Captains Edition, or the mods that come with SMM.

I'l look into adding that, it sounds pretty cool. But for now, I think I should get the mod to... work.
