So Close.

So far I have never beat the FTL boss. This time I was so close.


It was going great. I was using the Kestrel, I had an Artemis, Burst Laser MkII, 2 Fire Beams, Lv2 Cloaking, and Lv2 Teleporters. On the first phase, I had killed all the crew, besides the laser guy, and I had taken almost no damage.
The second phase, I cloaked whenever there was a power surge, and had shut off the drones so the Boarding drone did nothing. I took a bit more damage, but I was still at about 50% hull. There was a repair station about 2 jumps away, so I thought I might as well go heal up. But then, I came upon a Rebel Ship, who had 2 Hermes, a Pegasus, and a Halberd Beam. He DESTROYED me. Now I regret going and trying to get to that repair station.


That has benn my high score for a while now, and I still can't even get past the second phase.

It's amazing how much scarier the OTHER ships are in the 8th sector, compared to the Flagship. I guess it's fair, though, considering you get like 20 scrap for each Flagship phase and 80+ for killing the other ships

Automated ships and those pesky riggers are the worst. 3 of those would be MUCH harder than the Flagship 3 times.
