What specs are required?

Post by RaphaelH »

I would like to know what specs my computer needs to have to run the game properly since my pc isn't good at all.
Thank you!

My PC isn't very good; dual core 2.2ghz, 4gb ram, intel HD, and runs it at 35 fps. I don't know what you have but assuming it's relatively recent, it should be fine.

Intel HD, is that a laptop? I expect desktops 5 years old or more which were top of the range in their day's would have little difficulty.

The game doesn't really look too huge (yet), so I'd say you have a pretty great chance of running it decently as long as you are able to play normal games (read: Free in-browser games).
I always have this great idea to post about when reading a thread, but I always seem to loose the subject while writing a reply, and end up not saying anything at all. I should sleep more. Is that a cookie?

Hey, I finally registered (having been in the beta since the start, etc) to help you out here.

Currently, my PC specs are as follows: Pentium 3, 2GB ram, Integrated Intel (GMA something, 10 years oldish) and W7.
FTL runs fine for me. I can't give a specific FPS but I've never had any hold ups. It might run natively slower than some other PC's but I can't say that's a hinderence :P.

Basically: As long as your monitor supports the native resolution of FTL, you'll be fine. A toaster could run this.

Hopefully the game will stay fairly simple over the development, as I highly doubt there will be such huge changes so higher specs would be required. At most, a microwave, possibly.

Also haii apples :3

I also am a bit afraid that I can't run the game once I saw the system requirements on Steam. Anyone can tell me if I can run it on a Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.60 GHz, 3GB RAM and an Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family?

That should be a completely fine and good enough performance from the computer to run the game, I doubt you will have any problems at all with FPS.

Well that's a relief because this is the kind of games I'm really into. Thank you! :)

Yes.

edit: If I can run FTL, i seriously doubt anyone out there won't be able to.
