I'd like to suggest some changes for a future patch or for AE. Apologies if this is not the best way to make suggestions.

#1. I really wish crew HP bars were colored. 100% of HP = green, 26-99% of HP = yellow, and 1-25% of HP = red. I'm anal about healing all flesh wounds before moving on, and this would make it lightning fast to see at a glance if someone was wounded.

#2. I really want FTL to use a master random seed value that can be controlled in the UI. E.g., "I'm playing map 2371673, and it's awesome, you should try it too!" Or, "there's a really nasty situation in sector X in game # 273871, I challenge you to beat it! Then players could compare their results on static maps == huge fun potential for the community. (I've tried hacking it by generating a save file and replaying it, but too many things change on replay, such as sector layout and even beacon events.)

#1 - That will be included in the Advanced Edition update.

#2 - That would just be a bit too much work to add into the game at this point. It's something I wish we had considered during development, but we never imagined the popularity of FTL and that anyone would be interested in such a feature. Sorry to disappoint!

Thanks so much for your reply, Matthew!

FYI, the controllable seed value is by far my #1 most wished for feature. Please consider it for the future, and thanks in advance! One alternative that would be almost as good is if the entire FTL universe were predetermined as soon as you start the game. This would allow players to start a game and save it, share the save file, then multiple people could play an identical universe and compare results. I believe this would be hugely popular and not just with me! :)

Third enhancement request: it would be awesome if FTL kept granular stats, stats that were unique per ship layout and per difficulty level. Overall stats are nice but not comparable across players. Nice-to-have: the ability to reset stats for a given ship-layout+difficulty pair. Nice-to-have: the ability to aggregate those granular stats by race (aka all Stealth ships, not just Stealth B), and by difficulty level (aka all stats on Easy).

That feature sounds very difficult, but it would be super cool.

Also, somethign similar to the Spelunky Daily Challenge (but with a FTL map) would be amazing.

I found a list I'd made of suggestions / feature requests for FTL. I just cleared that list by posting them on this forum. But I couldn't resist plugging for the controllable random seed values again. I can see how it would be a major rewrite, but it would be soooo great. Please consider it for a future version!
