Oxygen instantly depleting

I was using the stealth cruiser and an enemy took out my o2 room. Afterwards I cloaked and started to repair it and my oxygen in every room was instantly depleted, killing everyone instantly.

The only thing I can think of is that you had a hull breach and all interior doors open, or your O2 level was already very low when he hit the O2 room, or you're using a different definition of "instantly" than I use. Your guys should not die "instantly" without oxygen. It takes a decent amount of time while their health goes down.

I'm sure this was a bug. I know my O2 levels were full prior to the system being taken out and all doors were closed. I did instantly lose oxygen in all rooms in a literal sense, but my crew members dying instantly was an exaggeration. Sorry for the confusion.

was the O2 room destroyed or "hacked"? when it gets hacked, the hacking pulse not only disables the oxygen but it drains it at an incredibly fast rate

No hacking drones were involved. The o2 was destroyed by a regular weapon.
