I lost my progress! (Ipad ios version)

I own this game on steam and have 300 hours in it.
I recently bought it from the ios app store.
of course, new game means starting from scratch with the kestrel ship, which i am fine with.

i've been playing for days and i unlocked the engi ship, i completed the quest for the federation cruiser. and i recently completed a quest that unlocked both the Lanius and the stealth cruiser and got 2 achievements with the kestrel to unlock layout B yesterday.

I opened the game today and i go to start a game and the only ships available to me are kestrel A and B and the engi ship is locked again, the federation stealth and all the other ships are locked.

my hi scores show nothing but 5 kestrel runs, 3 of which say "victory".

there's something wrong here.
because a kestrel victory would have at least unlocked the engi ship but it shows the engi ship locked despite having 3 kestrel victories.

I was really happy with my purchase when i saw it in the app store i bought it instantly, but this is FRIGGED beyond belief!
i can't believe nobody else has had this happen to them. i did a lot of work only to have my progress erased

well, apparently, nobody responded to this anyway. i think it best to leave this up in case it happens to anyone else.

here's what happened.

i played with kestrel A and used that to unlock 5 other ships. in my previous session i recently unlocked kestrel B and when i have kestrel A selected and then open up the "list" it shows the 5 ships i unlocked, but when i have kestrel B selected and open the list, it shows everything as "locked" again because apparently it does that if i don't have the B layouts unlocked. so i thought i had lost all my progress and all my ships got locked again.

i made a mistake and panicked for no reason, i did not lose my progress after all.
but i do find the way the menu is presented to me to be confusing.

3 hours is a pretty short time to expect a response, especially with all the problems the forum's been having.

I can see how that could be confusing. I wonder how it could be made easier. Maybe have 3 stacked images, overlaid on each other somehow so you can see "under" the B ships you have installed, the A ship is unlocked.
