Crash and Data Wipe
So I was playing FTL last night. I spent a couple of hours and I had finally unlocked the cloaked ship and the ship for beating the boss. I was in full screen and I quit. The game crashed, and so did my computer. I restarted, and didn't think much of it. I got on this morning to test out my new ships, and all the data had been wiped. I didn't even have the Torus anymore. All I have is the Kestrel. I'm very frustrated. Steam says I've played FTL for six hours, and now all that time, my stats, everything is gone.

Sounds like the prof.sav file got corrupted.
it's located under;
<Steam install directory>\steamapps\common\FTL Faster Than Light\user
If you're running Windows 7 you might be able to right click the file, select Properties, click the Previous Versions tab, and see if you can restore an older copy of your game profile.
Side note to teh devs, having a Steam cloud sync for that one file would be really nice.
