Re: What specs are required?
I was just afraid when I saw that it requires OpenGL 2.0 because I think my graphics card only supports 1.4...

I always have this great idea to post about when reading a thread, but I always seem to loose the subject while writing a reply, and end up not saying anything at all. I should sleep more. Is that a cookie?

I guess they aren't gonna release a demo or any other way of testing the game before buying it right?

They "plan to create and release a demo around the release of the game", so if you are patient enough, just wait a bit.Zorder wrote:I guess they aren't gonna release a demo or any other way of testing the game before buying it right?

You can use this to check your OpenGL version:
http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/
Download / install / run and it shows yours version in the summary. To make double sure, click on "See Details..." next to the version number and make sure everything from 2.0 down is 100%.
I've used it to check extension support for OpenGL and I'm not personally aware of a simpler method of looking up your OpenGL version (other than writing a quick piece of code to do it). So if anyone else has input, please speak up
And yes, a demo is planned. But simultaneous release for 3 operating systems is a lot for one programmer (me) to handle as is without also needing to set up 3x demo builds as well. Hopefully it will come not too shortly after release and that would be the sure fire way to make sure it works before purchase.

Err .. I read a lot of stuff about the resolution being a big deal.
I can't have a resolution bigger than 1024x768.
Am I screwed for good or can I still play the game somehow ?

Re: What specs are required?
That's my question. I can't play the game at all ?
The rest is perfectly fine.

Well I didn't have noticed that, lol. I can't support 1280x720 either... But maybe if we go to the startup options on the properties of the game on Steam and if you input this command "-lowdetail -windowed -1024x768" maybe it would work... That's how I got Super Meat Boy to work on my computer.

Re: What specs are required?
I'm very sorry, but 1280x720 is a firm set requirement. You won't be able to play the game at a lower resolution.
